Renae Cohen

MATTHEWS, Mo. - Renae Cohen, age 66, died Aug. 30, 2016, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born April 20, 1950, in Henderson, Ky., daughter of the late Charlie Benjamin and Mamie Azilee (Birdsong) Fears, she worked as a D.A. for the Sikeston Regional Center. She loved to go camping at Whippoorwill Lake, to flea markets, yard sales, auctions and the casino boat.

On June 6, 1975, at Morehouse, she married Frank Cohen, who survives of the home in Matthews.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Tyanne Lee of Prescott, Ark., and Chesley L. Lee of Bertrand; three sisters, Gwen Webb of Bertrand, Deborah Moreland of Rogers, Ark., and Tyanne Wagnor of Morehouse, Missouri; five grandchildren, Micah Lee, Tashley Rice, Kali Rice, Chase Lee and Keiffer Lee; and four great-grandchildren, Joshua Gardener, Kaleb Corbin, Legend Lee and J.C. Betts.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harry Barnes and Buddy Fears; and two sisters, Charlene Hopkins and Bonnie Campbell.

Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 2, from 11 a.m. until time of funeral services at 4 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Larry Kirby will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery at Dogwood.

Pallbearers will be Ethan Jamieson, Rick Perry, Chase Lee, Kirby Klaus, Keiffer Lee and Carl Jamieson.
