CARTERSVILLE, Ga. -- Mr. Clifford Russell Jr., 75, of Cartersville, died on Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, at Chulio Hills Health and Rehab in Rome, Ga. Born on June 7, 1941, in Pocahontas, Tenn., the son of the late Clifford Daniel Russell and Vivian Parish Russell, Mr. Russell was retired from Goodyear after 27 years of service. He enjoyed going to NASCAR races. He was a huge NASCAR fan and his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Sr. He loved his family, especially his granddaughters...

CARTERSVILLE, Ga. -- Mr. Clifford Russell Jr., 75, of Cartersville, died on Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, at Chulio Hills Health and Rehab in Rome, Ga.

Born on June 7, 1941, in Pocahontas, Tenn., the son of the late Clifford Daniel Russell and Vivian Parish Russell, Mr. Russell was retired from Goodyear after 27 years of service. He enjoyed going to NASCAR races. He was a huge NASCAR fan and his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Sr. He loved his family, especially his granddaughters.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Linda J. Russell of Cartersville; his daughter, Belinda (Richard) Howard of Acworth; his son, Clifford D. (Katy) Russell II of Menifee, Calif.; his grandchildren, Kate Russell of Rome, Olivia Russell of Va. Beach, Va.; his niece, Dana Copeland of Sikeston, Mo.; his nephews, Trace Glaus and Michael Glaus from Sikeston, and Mark Russell from North Liberty, Iowa.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dan Russell and Mike Russell; and his sister, Betty Glaus.
