SIKESTON - Juanita McArthur, 93, died March 10, 2017, at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston.
Born April 20, 1923, in Mason Hall, Tenn., to the late R.C. and Mary (Collins) Cherry, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Sikeston and had worked as a merchandiser for J.C. Penney before retiring.
She was married to Shirley A. McArthur, who preceded her in death in September 1981.
Survivors include: one son, Wade McArthur of Collinsville, Ill.; one brother, Ron Cherry of Denver, Colo.; one sister, Carmen White of Chicago, Ill.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Hammond, and one grandson, Michael McArthur.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.m until time of services at noon Tuesday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.
Burial will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery near Morley.
