Speedy Smith

MARSTON, MO. -- Kenneth "Speedy" Smith, 75, died May 5, 2017, at his home in Marston.

Born Nov. 18, 1942, in Anna, Ill., to the late Henry and Nina Hill Smith, he was employed by the New Madrid County R-1 School District for 33 years.

On Dec. 14, 1963, in Portageville, he married Patricia Pigg Smith who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Jamie Dacus of Marston, and Elizabeth (Mark) Hunt of Jackson; and three grandchildren, Zach Dacus, Sarah Hunt and Hannah Hunt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Sydonna Smith.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Monday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid with the Rev. G.L. Keene officiating.

Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
