Ricky Jackson

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Ricky Jackson, 61, died June 13, 2017, at his home.

Born Oct. 12, 1955, in Benton Harbor, Mich., to Allene Elizabeth Bright Jackson of East Prairie and the late Russell Elmo Jackson, he was employed as a riverboat worker for 29 years. He was a member of the First General Baptist Church of East Prairie.

On May 3, 2017, he married Shawna Ann Cuff, who survives of the home.

In addition to his mother and wife, survivors include: one daughter, Ashley Jackson of Chicago; four brothers, Randy Elmo Jackson, Tommy Joe Jackson, Billy Don Jackson and Robbie Andrew Jackson of East Prairie; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services will be at 2 p.m. Friday with Sonny Jackson officiating.

Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Johnny Byassee, Mike Byassee, Mark Burris, Shawn Garner, Jordan Jackson and Berry Bright Jr.
