SIKESTON - Albert Leonard "Al" Grainger Jr., 88, died June 18, at his home near Sikeston.

Born March 24, 1929, in Trenton, N.J., to the late Albert L. Sr. and Ruth Marie (Reim) Grainger, he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. A phone repairman and installer for Southwestern Bell for over 30 years, he was a member of the Matthews Missionary Baptist Church.

On Dec. 10, 1981, in Benton, he married Edith F. (Ergle) Frohock, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are: one son, Richard L. Frohock of St. Louis; four daughters and a son-in-law, Pamela F. Redden of Sikeston, Teresa Lynn Jenkins and Tina and T.J. Gantner all of Matthews and K. Denise Frohock of Benton; and 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until time of the memorial service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Chris Polk, pastor of the Matthews Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate.
