CHARLESTON, Mo. - Phillip Porter Jr., 55, died June 17, 2017, at his home.
Born May 30, 1962, in Pinhook, to Rosie Lee Strayhorn Porter of Wilson City and the late Phil Porter Sr., he graduated from East Prairie High School in 1981. A professional truck driver and a general farm worker, he was employed with Raffety and Company for many years.
On Sept. 16, 1988, he married Rose Graham, who survives of the home.
In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Dyrek and Tina Merriweather of St. Charles; two daughters, Deanna Graham and Ieasha Porter of Charleston; three brothers, Arbie Agnew of Cairo, Ill., Delbert Agnew of Wilson City and Elmer Agnew of Troy; one sister, Kay Lewis of Florissant; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Lavern Frazier will officiate.
Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery with the Williams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
