ST. LOUIS - Lillie Mae McCray, 77, formerly of Charleston, died June 15, 2017, at St. Louis University Hospital.

Born Sept. 6, 1939 in New Madrid, to the late Roosevelt and Elnora Johnson Evans, she attended the Salvation Army Church in St. Louis.

She was married to George McCray, who preceded her in death in July 2005.

Survivors include: four sons and one daughter-in-law, Oscar Evans, Willie James Evans, George and Barbara Evans and Jerome McCray, all of St. Louis; one brother, Floyd "Goldie" Wade of Sikeston; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bowden Center in Charleston. Arthur Cassell will officiate.

Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
