Ronald Holland
SOUR LAKE, Texas - Ronald Douglas Holland, 74, died, July 30, 2017, in Beaumont, Texas.
Born May 10, 1943, in Lilbourn, Mo., to the late William Albert Holland and Orene Woods Holland, he grew up in St. Ann and Bridgeton, Mo. He graduated from the University of Missouri and went on to serve in the United States Army Reserves. After being deployed for riot control in Kansas, he worked for Sears for 35 years. He was self-employed for another 10 years before retiring.
On April 13, 2016, in Beaumont, he married to Charlotte Plunkett, who survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Krista of Denton, Texas; two sons, Douglas of Lake Charles, La., and Michael of Plano, Texas; and a grandchild, Sherman of Silsbee, Texas.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn with full military honors. The Rev. David Ross, pastor of First Baptist Church in Sikeston, will officiate.
