SIKESTON -- Jerry Lee Summers, 60, died Sept. 6, 2017, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born June 27, 1957, in Indianola, Mis., to Jessie Lee Freeman of Sikeston and Henry Lee Summers of Indianola, he was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church of Sikeston. He attended Sikeston Public Schools and most recently worked at Schaeffer Manufacturing Company in St. Louis.

His wife, Michelle Hatchett Summers, survives of St. Louis.

Other survivors include: two sons, Reginald Summers of St. Louis and Jheryell Summers of Springfield; two stepsons, Deontae Hatchett of North Carolina and Malcolm Williams of Wyoming; two daughters, Jasmine Summers of Kansas City and Natasha Taylor of Springfield; two sisters, Florida Reeves of Michigan and Lola Amerson of Sikeston; two brothers, Paul Freeman and Mike Washington of Sikeston; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three siblings, Sadie Mae, Albert and Don Wayne.

Visitation is from noon until service time at 1 p.m. Saturday at West End Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston. The Rev. Samuel Gibson will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Sunset of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
