PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Anne Elizabeth Austine Wright, 83, formerly of Charleston, died Sept. 14, 2017, at The Estates of Perryville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Jan. 25, 1934, at Hayti, to the late William C. and Essie Dotson Austin, she had lived in Charleston most of her life, later moving to Cape Girardeau and then Perryville. She had attended the Church of Christ and had been employed with the Brown Shoe Co. and Gates Rubber Co. in Charleston until her retirement.
On June 18, 1961, she married Jacob Burl "Jack" Wright, who preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 2006.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Sandy Hall of Steele; three daughters and a son-in-law, Terri Hall and Gary Perry of St. Charles, Elizabeth Hahn of Perryville and Jennifer Powell of Carlinville, Ill.; two brothers, Glen Austin of Cape Girardeau and Jerry Austin of Paragould, Ark.; five sisters, Ernestine Clubb of Ashville, N.C.; Carolyn Albert of Collerville, Tenn.; Linda Miller of Judsonia, Ark.; Kathleen Reed of Paragould and Sue Archibald of Fresno, Calif.; and seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Jacob William Wright; one son-in-law, Leroy Hahn; and one grandson.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. services at 11 a.m. Saturday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Her brother-in-law, Paul Miller, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery near Charleston.
