Bob Johnson

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- Robert Perry "Bob" Johnson Jr., 66, passed away on Sept. 15, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Robert was born July 14, 1951, to the late Robert Perry Johnson and Evelyn Upton Johnson. Bob was a teacher/coach and engaged in the family farming operation for many years. He spent his life devoted to his wife and family.

On Dec. 30, 2005, he married Regina Tanksley Johnson, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons, Roby (David) Johnson, Robbie Carden, and Andy (Rebecca) Carden; one sister, LaDonna Johnson (Keith) Covelle; two brothers, Randy (Kim) Johnson and Charlie (Teresa) Upton; five grandchildren, Robbie Lee, Courtney, and Allie Carden, Hannah and Bellah Byassee; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside rights will be held for friends and family at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Charleston at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, with the Rev. Eric McGruder officiating.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family has requested memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
