BERTRAND, Mo. -- Earnest Milton Laymon Sr., 73, died Sept. 16, 2017, at his home in Bertrand.
Born Jan. 25, 1944, in Canalou, to the late Walter Monroe and Ruby May Wren Laymon, he was a member of Living Waters Pentecostal Church in Sikeston and had been a mechanic at Plaza Tire before his retirement.
On Dec. 28, 1962, he married Mary R. Reynolds in Canalou, and she survives of the home.
Also surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Earnest Laymon Jr. of Bertrand and Kelly and Mitzi Laymon of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Jeremy High of Dover, Ark.; and one sister, Lois Crabtree of Beloit, Wis.; and eight grandchildren.
Two brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
No services are planned at this time.
