BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- School board positions as well as some city offices and issues will be decided when voters go to the polls on April 4 in Stoddard County.

Voters in the Stoddard County Ambulance District #4 will choose between Rickey McLean and Tim Wheetley to serve a three-year term on the board.

In Advance, Tom Schmidt and Toby Rodgers are vying for an alderman position in Ward 2 while Carl (Pete) Ritter is unopposed for mayor as is Jason W. Smith for alderman in Ward 1.

Voters in Bernie will choose between Tim Gage and Marisa McGowan Farmer for alderman in Ward 2 while Ivan Mekan and Scott Spitzer are running for alderman in Ward 3. Todd Young is unopposed for alderman in Ward 1 and Karla Appleton is also unopposed for tax collector.

Castor Township voters will opt for either Randall McCollom or Steve D. Larson to serve a two-year position on the board while Jackie Bradshaw is unopposed for treasurer.

Liberty Township voters will choose between Lana Logan Temples and Ed Crow for treasurer and Terry Battles and Ricky Stearns for a two-year term on the board. Joy Hatchel Sills is running unopposed for Township clerk.

Voters in Essex along with those in the Castor and New Lisbon Townships are facing a special road and bridge tax levy of 35 cents on $100 assesses valuation for the next four years.

In Dudley, nobody filed for a two-year term on their board of aldermen while in Bell City Howard Pikey is running unopposed for mayor as is Cleo Schaefer Jr. for an alderman position in Ward 1 and Dorothy Burton for an alderman position in Ward 2.

William (Bill) Aslin is running unopposed for mayor of Bloomfield as is Ruth Ann Wilson for collector. Bonnie Blue is also unopposed for Ward 1 alderman and Frank Sifford is alone on the ballot for alderman in Ward 2.

Terry Battles is unopposed for alderman in Ward 1 in Dexter while Tim Aslin and Frank Killian are running unopposed for alderman in Wards 2 and 3 respectively.

Rick McLean is unopposed for mayor in Puxico while David Scott DeVaughn is unopposed for municipal judge. GS Kilbreth is alone on the ballot for Ward 1 alderman and nobody filed for the Ward 2 alderman position.

Nobody filed for three positions on the Penermon Board of Aldermen.

SCHOOL

Advance R-4 voters will choose three school board members from Ronnie Simmons, Tom Schmidt, Joshua "Ryan" Schrader, Nanie Hawkins and Jared Lacy.

The Bernie R-XIII voters will choose three school board members from Denny Riddle, Rick Beaird, Waylon Owens and Richard Owens.

Jason Comfort, Kevin Daniel Bishop, Benjamin (Ben) Taylor Worley, Yewell "Bud" Lawrence and Ronald David Glaus II are all vying for three positions on the Dexter R-XI School Board.

Voters in the New Madrid County R-1 School District will have Danny Parker, John Palmer, Kay Rebstock, Renee Banks and Scott Riley to choose from as they elect three board members.

Three board positions are also up for grabs in the Puxico School District where Chad Payne, Brian Robison, Jeffrey R. Hamann and J.W.Mattingly are all on the ballot.

David Dugger, Keith Parker, Billy Watson, Robert Thurman, Brian Love and Roger Baxter are all on the ballot in the Twin Rivers School District where three positions are available on their board.
