Carrol Hagy
DEXTER, Mo. — Carrol Leroy Hagy, 78, died May 6, 2018, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 6, 1939, in Dexter, son of the late Carl Freeman and Dora Irene McFarlen Hagy, he had lived in Michigan and St. Louis before returning to the Dudley and Dexter areas. He had worked as a welder and maintenance man and attended the Dudley Community Church.
On March 15, 1986, in Wyoming, Mich., he married Patsy Gale Cole Igan, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Joseph Leroy Hagy of Wyoming; two daughters and a son-in-law, Rose Irene and Lynnie Andrew Rulo of Benton and Ruth Annette Hagy of Dexter; two brothers, Cecil Hagy of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Vernon Hagy of Covington, Tenn.; and 14 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Annabelle Aileen Borders, Alta May Denny, Alice Faye Williamson and Edith Lorene Hagy; and five brothers, Archie, Roy, Paul, Ollie and Harold Hagy; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is from 11:30 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Earl Hagy of St. Louis officiating.
Burial will be in the Caroline-Dowdy Cemetery.
