ORAN, Mo. — Mark Dewayne Parker, 60, died May 7, 2018, at his home.

Born June 27, 1957, son of Barbara (Thomas) Cooper and the late Jimmy Parker, he had been an engineer for the tow boat for over 30 years. Then he worked as an engineer for Cott Beverages at Sikeston. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

On June 23, 1990, he married Robin Scheible, and she survives of the home.

In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include: his stepmother, Zelda Parker; two sons, Preston Parker of Oran and Christopher Parker of Fort Worth, Texas; three brothers, Michael Parker of Seymore, Tenn., Matt Parker of Renton, Wash. and Dale Parker of Jackson; three sisters, Debbie Mancias of Nampa, Idaho; Cindy Galbraith of Camas, Wash. and Ann Glenn of Nashville, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and a granddaughter.

Visitation is after 4 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, where services will be at noon Wednesday with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.

Burial with full military honors will be at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bell City.
