Gary Hamlett

PORTLAND, Tenn. — Gary Wayne Hamlett, 65, formerly of Oran, Mo., died May 8, 2018, at the St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville.

He was born on Dec. 8, 1952, in Cape Girardeau, son of the late Finis and Dessie Wood Hamlett, he was a retired owner/operator of RV Repair in New Deal.

On Dec. 6, 2011, he married Linda Brown, and she preceded him in death.

Survivors include: two sons, Barry Davis of Gallatin and Eric Davis of New Deal; a brother, Gerald Hamlett of Versailles, Mo.; three sisters, Barbara Alexander of Lake of the Ozarks, Shirley Casey of Niles, Mich.; Alice Adams of Detroit, Mich.; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Laurie JaneHamlett; and a brother and three sisters.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until service time at noon Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran with the Rev. Gerald Hamlett officiating.

Burial will be at Friend Cemetery in Oran.
