MINER, Mo. — Charles Warren, 82, died May 9, 2018, at his home in Miner.
Born July 31, 1935, in Trimble, Tenn., son of the late Shirley Lee and Bertha Mae (Harper) Warren, he was a member of Greater Works Church, where he was formerly pastor for many years as well as a missionary to the Philippines. He had owned and operated Sikeston Plumbing and Heating and he then operated a recovery center for eight years before retiring.
In 1953 he married Edna Louise Cathey; she preceded him in death March 4, 2007.
One brother, John R. Warren, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons, Walter Wilson and Jimmy Wilson of Sikeston; one daughter, Charlene Stone of Sikeston; four brothers, Lester Lee Warren of Savannah, Ga., Bob Warren of Jonesburg, Billy Ray Warren of DeSoto and Eugene Warren of Morley; two sisters, Helen Juanita Goings of Dexter and Dolly Mae Hutson of Jackson; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Friday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. His brother, Eugene Warren, a retired pastor, will officiate.
Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
