EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. — Elizabeth Rose Rogers, 87, died on May 9, 2018, at Charleston Manor in Charleston.
Born Oct. 16, 1930, daughter of the late William Perry and Delia Rose Faust Tanksley, she was a New Madrid County sheriff's deputy for 15 years and maintenance supervisor for New Madrid County for 10 years before retiring.
On Aug. 20, 1946, she married Willis Rogers; he preceded her in death on Aug. 27, 2013.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Willis Ray Rogers; two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Rogers and Barbara Kay Causey; three brothers, Sam Tanksley, Richard Tanksley and Carl Tanksley; and three sisters, Margie Marshall, Magdalene Mills; and infant sister, Gracie Tanksley.
Survivors include: one brother, Marion Tanksley of Darden, Tenn.; two sisters, Ruth Ivie and Dorothy Farmer of East Prairie; one son-in-law, Travis Causey of Porter, Texas; and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. The Rev. Ross Marshall will officiate.
Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
