SIKESTON — James Allan Bain, 61, passed away on May 13, 2018, at his home in Sikeston.
He was born July 30, 1956, in Sikeston, son of Mary Alice McMackin Bain and the late Louie Mack Bain. He was a 1974 graduate of Richland High School; he was a member of the Sikeston Church of Christ; he was a past member of the Sikeston Jaycees and a current member of the Big Prairie Jaycees in Matthews. James spent his entire life engaged in row crop farming in Southeast Missouri. He was an avid fisherman, golfer and outdoorsman.
On Nov. 24, 1984, in Sikeston, he married Karen Hart Bain, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, James Matthew Bain of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Caroline and Garrett May of Slidell, La.; one brother, Don Bain of Gulf Shores, Ala.; one sister, Melanie Bain, of Lake Mary, Fla.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018, from 2:30 p.m. until time of memorial service at 5 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Sikeston with the Rev. Jennifer Moxley officiating.
Pallbearers will be: Garrett May, Craig Littleton, David Pearson, Mike Pearson, Mike Mills, Don Bain, Lynn Bain, Loring Helfrich, Chuck Daniels and Wayne Parker.
