JACKSON, Mo. — Virginia Lee Morse, 78, of Jackson, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018, at at her home.

She was born Jan. 31, 1940, in Cape Girardeau, to Luther and Imogene Edmonds Wise. 

Virginia taught school for 36 years in Sikeston, retiring in 1998.   She was a member of Connection Point Church in Jackson. She formerly taught Sunday school at the First Baptist Church in Blodgett. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.

Loving survivors include: two sons, William “Dean” (Paula) Tetley Sr. of Jackson and Kevin (Gretchen) Morse of Fentom; four grandchildren, William “Will” (Starr) Tetley Jr, Kathleen “Katie” Tetley, Taylor (Andrew) Glueck and Joshua Morse; two great-grandchildren, Carter Tetley and Carson Glueck; and one brother: Daniel (Rahe) Wise of Fruitland.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2018, at Oakdale Cemetery in Commerce with Dr. Chris Vaught officiating.

Arrangements are by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
