Edward Jolley
ORAN, Mo. — Edward Lee Jolley Jr. died July 16, 2018, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis at the age of 62.
Born March 17, 1956, in Sikeston, he is the son of the late Edward Lee and Olla Lee (Waters) Jolley Sr.
Edward was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran.
He graduated from Thomas W. Kelly High School in 1974, finishing seventh in his class.
Shortly after high school, he began working at Triangle Wire and Cable. He started at the bottom and, through initiative and a serious work ethic, he became a shift supervisor. He worked there for 19 years.
In September of 1994 he and Carl Coleman, his lifelong friend, went into business together and started Gold Star Enterprises.
On Jan. 25, 2003, at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, he married Pamela (Jenkins) Jolley; she survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons and one daughter-in-law, Edward Lee and Debra Jolley III of Sikeston, Blaine Jolley and Warren Jolley both of Oran; four daughters and one son-in-law, Edie Jo Jolley-Watkins and Cory Watkins of Miner, Chelsey Holmes of Morley, Celeste Holmes of Blodgett and Kaitlyn Jolley of Oran; one brother, Walter Jolley of Morley; and 12 grandchildren, Whitney Watkins, Hope Mannon, Johnathon Watkins, Bryton Jolley, Landon Jolley, Grace Wagoner, Levi Watkins, Kaylee Jolley, Cassidy Wagoner, Maegan Watkins, Rayven Holmes and Odin Cockrell.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by one brother, Tom Jolley.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 20 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 21 at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow in the Blodgett Cemetery at Blodgett.
Pallbearers will be: Levi Watkins, Edward Jolley, Bryton Jolley, Cory Watkins, Johnathon Watkins and Landon Jolley.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Randy Allen, Jason Allen, Michael Riley (Spook), Wayne Friend and Carl Coleman.
