Edward Williams
EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. — Edward Lee Williams, 81, died July 12, 2018, at his home.
Born Nov. 26, 1936, in Blaine, Miss., son of the late Earl and Gladys Canady Williams, he started farming at the age of 17 and was employed by Steve Jones Farms of East Prairie until his retirement.
On June 7, 1957, he married Easter Dunigan, who survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie Terrall and Angela Williams of Pacific and Rodney Neal and Lisa Williams Sr. of Horn Lake, Miss., and Tycee Marice and Samantha Williams of Eureka; three brothers, DeWayne Williams of Sikeston, Earl Williams Jr. of Kansas City and Eugene Williams of Las Vegas; five sisters, Francis Bolton and Gertrude Armstrong of Kansas City, Tammy Williams of St. Louis and Cynthia Williams and Earline Williams of Sikeston; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Johnnie H. Williams; and three sisters, Christine Mayo, Valerie Williams and Rosemont Williams.
Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Phillip Stone officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
The Williams Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
