Carmen Propst
DUTCHTOWN, Mo. — Carmen Laverne Propst, 86, died on July, 20, 2018, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee.
Born Oct. 11, 1931, in Allenville, daughter of the late Elbert Howard and Flossie Cramer Vance, she was a member of First Baptist Church in Dalta and attended Hooe Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Delta Senior Citizens.
On Aug. 31, 1948, she married Fred Marion Propst, who preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 2005.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Propst; and a brother, Don Vance.
Survivors include: a daughter, Carolyn (Kenneth) Shoemaker of Advance; one brother, Bill Vance of Delta; two sisters, Violet Ware of Delta and Bessie Jane Grojean of Cape Girardeau; and five grandsons and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Phil Thompson and the Rev. Randy Conn officiating.
Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
