Junior Parker
MOREHOUSE, Mo. — Junior Ray Parker, 86, died July 23, 2018, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born June 16, 1932, in Kiser, Ark., son of the late James Andrew and Mollie Rose Ann Warren Parker, he had lived in the Morehouse area most of his life. He had worked at the Himmelberger-Harrison Plant and as a farmer and was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Morehouse.
He was first married to Cynthia "Jimmie" Smith on Sept. 16, 1955; she preceded him in death on Nov. 21, 1977. On July 1, 2000, in Grant City, he married Beulah Mae Shipp Wilkerson, who survives of Morehouse.
Other survivors include: one son, Tony (Tina) Parker of Sikeston; one daughter, Sharon (Rick) Knuckles of Sikeston; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Parker; three brothers, Albert, Odell and Robert Parker; and four sisters, Ella Williams, Roxy Boyle, Norma Jean Skalsky and Grace Powell.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with Jim Vent, pastor of Morehouse, officiating
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
