Luella Duncan
PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan. — Luella Mae Murdock Duncan, born Feb. 29, 1916, in her parents’ farmhouse outside Puxico, Mo., died July 31, 2018, in Prairie Village.
She was preceded in death in 1976 by her husband of 37 years, Norvel W. Duncan, and in 1990 by her husband of one year, Wyman Henry.
She is survived by her son, Keith Duncan, and his wife, Sherry Duncan, of Kansas City, Mo., and their children, Kerry Amigoni and Barton Duncan. Kerry and her husband, Michael Amigoni, live in Kansas City and have two children, Joseph and Kati Amigoni. Barton Duncan and his wife, Sherrie, live in Elkhorn, Iowa.
Luella is also survived by her daughter, Marsha Laner, and Marsha’s husband, Joel Laner, of Kansas City, and their children, Allison Palmer and her husband Jared Palmer of Prairie Village, Kansas; Lora Blass Laner of New York, N.Y.; and Duncan Laner and his wife, Katie Laner, of Kansas City.
In addition to Joe and Kati, she is survived by great-grandchildren, George and Ellen Palmer.
She is also survived by her nieces and nephews and the family is thankful for their attentiveness to her as well as that of her longtime friend, Mona McReynolds, and the staff at La Bonne Maison.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3 at the Puxico Cemetery.
Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Sikeston or to the Missouri Delta Medical Center Auxiliary in both of which she was a longtime member.
