Don Hagy
SIKESTON — Freddie Donald "Don" Hagy, 74, died Aug. 2, 2018, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born June 20, 1944, in Crowder, son of the late George Washington and Geneva (Preston) Hagy Jr, Don was a member of Tanner Street Church of God, where he was very active on the Board and the Stephens Ministry. He was a distinguished member and multiple award recipient of the Santa Ana, Calif., chapter of Jaycees and was an an operations manager for Chicago Title Company before retiring.
On Nov. 16, 1963, in Dexter, he married Margaret Ann Daugherty, and she survives of the home in Sikeston.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Kelly Hagy of Paducah, Ky.; one daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Carl Dodson of Southlake, Texas; one brother, Merlin Hagy of Sikeston; one sister, Diane Lester of Riverside, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Geneva Hagy, Lily Dodson and Reed Dodson.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by two brothers, Ricky Hagy and Bobby Hagy; and a sister, Baby Girl Hagy.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Aug. 7 from 11 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. John Neeley, pastor of Tanner Street Church of God, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
Pallbearers will be: Derek Wheeler, Mike Wheeler, Thomas Hagy, Merlin Hagy, Carl Dodson and JimBob Daugherty.
