Patricia Cole
CHARLESTON, Mo. — Patricia Ann Cole, age 78, a resident of Charleston, passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, at Bertrand Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born Sept. 14, 1939, in Wendyville, to the late Thomas Rye and Eloise Jones McMinn, she was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church near Charleston. She was employed by Brown Shoe Company in Charleston for many years, retiring at the time of its closing. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren, and she had recently become a great grandmother.
On June 19, 1956, in East Prairie, she married Bobby Allen Cole; he preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 2011.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Billy Fox of Sikeston and Penny and Paul Davis of Poplar Bluff; two grandchildren, Lawrence Ryan Fox, DVM of Columbia and Brooke and Cody Hindes of Monett; one great-grandson, Landon Davis Hindes; her aunt, Norma Jean Barnes of East Prairie; her uncle, J.W. "Dickie" Jones of Muldrow, Okla.; and several cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one infant son, Ricky Allen Cole.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018, at Shelby Funeral Home of East Prairie with Martin Lucas officiating.
Interment will follow in I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: Billy Fox, Paul Davis, Johnny McMinn, Ken Stevenson, Harlan Douglas and Ricky Penrod.
