Chaffee man dies in head-on crash

SCOTT CITY, Mo. — A Chaffee man was killed and a Scott City woman seriously injured in a head-on vehicle collision Tuesday in Scott County.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 12:50 p.m. on Route AB, one mile east of Interstate 55 in Scott City limits as the westbound vehicle driven by Natalie M. Woods, 21, of Scott City crossed the center line and struck the eastbound vehicle driven by Larry G. Wolfe, 64, of Chaffee head-on.

Wolfe was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:50 p.m. by Scott County Coroner Scott Amick and taken to the Scott County Morgue.

Woods was transported by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
