Evelyn Gonzales
EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. — Evelyn Lois Roberts Gonzales, 52, died July 31, 2018, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born April 19, 1966, in Poplar Bluff, daughter of the late Clarence Chester Roberts and Bertha Elzetta Maddux Roberts Manriquez, she was a 1985 graduate of Charleston High School and had been employed as a home health caregiver. She had lived in Mississippi County most of her life.
Surviving are her son, Chester Hankins of East Prairie; her daughter, Amanda Roper of East Prairie; four brothers, Marvin Roberts of Hope, Ark., Ricky Maddux of East Prairie; John Roberts of Branson and Joe Manriquez; and six grandchildren and three adopted grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Monty Doyle George Jr.
Graveside services will be conducted at noon Saturday at Oak Grove Cemetery.
McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
