Man stabbed in dispute early Friday in Sikeston
SIKESTON — A 51-year-old male is recovering from a stab wound following an argument early Friday in Sikeston.
At 7:27 a.m., officers with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety received a report of an assault at 531 S. Frisco, according to Lt. Austin Henley with Sikeston Department of Public Safety. Upon officers’ arrival, the victim was located with a superficial laceration/stab wound on his left arm. He indicated the suspect stabbed him after an argument in the 400 block of Prosperity, Henley said. The victim declined medical treatment.
The suspect who was later identified as Crystal Johnson, 32, was taken into custody. She is charged with two counts of felony first degree domestic assault. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety.
