Patricia Freed

DEXTER, Mo. — Patricia Faye Freed, 54, died Aug. 11, 2018, at her home in Dexter.

Born Sept. 29, 1963, in Poplar Bluff, daughter of the late Clarence Rufus and Nora Lee Gribble Powell, she had lived in Dudley and Wappapello before moving to Dexter seven years ago. She was of the Baptist belief.

In Nov. 1980, she married Richard "Rick" Freed, who survives of Dexter.

In addition to her husband, survivors include: one son, Eric Freed of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Lacey and James White of Wappapello; four sisters, MaryJo Stearns of Michigan, Norma Smith of Arkansas, Barbara Case and Angela Mays of Dexter; one brother, Willie Powell of Puxico; three grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Charles Cantrell; three sisters, Lottie Maddox, Treva Lee and Jonnie Maddox.

Visitation will be from noon until service time at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with Junior Smith of Darnell, Ark., Ark., officiating.
