Mary Woods

Mary Elizabeth Woods, 95, formerly of Lutesville, Portageville, and Marquand, Mo., passed away July 24, 2018, at The Baptist Home in Ironton, Mo.

She and her late husband, Hugh L. Woods, were former owners of the Portageville Lumber Company, and members of the Portageville First Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Judy Trittler of St. Louis; a son, Richard Woods of New Zealand; a granddaughter, Keri Merkel; two great-granddaughters, Morgan and Jessica; and a sister, Jackie Huffman, of Ironton.

She was preceded in death, in 2005, by her husband of 63 years, Hugh L. Woods; two brothers; and one sister.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, August 6, 2018 at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. Burial followed in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery, near Marble Hill.
