SIKESTON — Margaret Kasting, 78, died Aug. 17, 2018, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Born March 11, 1940, in Sikeston, daughter of the late Earl and Mildred Litchford Masterson, Margaret was a member of North Acres General Baptist Church and had worked as a sales clerk for Eubanks-Finney Department Store before retiring.

On June 14, 1963, at Tanner Street Church of God in Sikeston, she married Gary Kasting, who preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 2016.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Lisa Kasting of Sikeston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Suzy and John Lehman of Sikeston and Ginger and Tony Stricklin of Zalma; seven grandchildren, Hannah (Chris) Kennard, Brittany Rivera, Ben (Katie) Stricklin, Maggie Lehman, Ross Kasting, Peyton Lehman and Chord Lehman; and two great-grandchildren, Walker Kennard and Waylon Kennard.

In addition to her husband and parents, Margaret was preceded in death by one brother, Jay Masterson; and four sisters, Earlene Hollis, Dorothy Badagliacca, Wanda Pearson and Faye Phillips.

Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 20, from noon until time of memorial services at 2 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. Charles Woolard, pastor of North Acres General Baptist Church, will officiate.
