Carolyn Walker
SIKESTON — Alice Carolyn Walker, 78, died Aug. 17, 2018, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Aug. 10, 1940, in Trumann, Ark., daughter of the late Roy Lee and Florence Chandler Baker, she was a member of Illinois Avenue Baptist Church, had owned and operated Carol's Cleaning Service and had been a sales clerk for Eubanks-Finney Department Store before retiring.
On Nov. 23, 1954, she married Ellis Ray Walker; he preceded her in death on Oct. 5, 2012.
Survivors include: one son, Mitchell Walker of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Kelley Nelson of Sikeston; one sister, Jean Eubanks of Kennett; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until service time at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ponder Funeral Home. The Rev. Johnie Sliger, pastor of Illinois Avenue General Baptist Church, will officiate.
A private burial will be held later in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
