Sandgren earns 1 Diamond for client service, dedication

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Karisma Hotels & Resorts, an award-winning luxury hotel collection which owns and manages properties in Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe, recently awarded Carolyn Sandgren (Kempf) a travel expert with Elite Travel Inc. and a certified Gourmet Inclusive Vacation Consultant, with the Elite 1 Diamond status a recognition indicating the highest level of commitment to exceeding service standards.

Launched in 2008, the Gourmet Inclusive Vacation Consultant Program is limited to an elite group of travel agents who are obligated to meet specific standards and requirements to exceed extremely high expectations with regard to bookings, customer service, and support.

Saint Francis adds hospitalist

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — Saint Francis Healthcare System recently added new hospitalist Tiffany Samples, DO. She joins 19 other hospitalists who provide dedicated care to their hospitalized patients.

Samples studied medicine at A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, and completed her internship and residency at Oklahoma State University, in Tulsa, Okla.

“We are pleased to introduce another dedicated hospitalist to the Saint Francis Family,” says Maryann Reese, RN, MHA, DHA, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer of Saint Francis Medical Center. “Dr. Samples will join a team of experts that helps reduce the length of stays, lower treatment costs and improve outcomes for all of our patients.”

Hospitalists are doctors who focus on the general medical care of hospitalized patients. Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Saint Francis hospitalists are dedicated to coordinating and managing the healthcare needs of each patient from admission to discharge. Hospitalists help ensure a seamless continuum of care among primary care doctors, physician specialists and inpatient care providers.
