David Chunn
AVA, Mo. — David Elliott Chunn, 75, died Aug. 19, 2018, at his home.
Born Aug. 4, 1943, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Lannis Earl and Helen Ruth (Watson) Chunn, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran and served during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in business administration and minor in sociology and was a retired supervisor with Fleming Wholesale Distribution in Sikeston.
On Aug. 29, 1986, in Sikeston, he married Doris Day, who survives the home.
Other survivors include: one son and wife, Shawn and Rebecca Nickell of Wildwood; and two grandchildren, Charli Anne and Connor Nickell.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Chunn.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Clinkingbeard Chapel in Ava, with burial with military honors will be at 2 p.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield. The Rev. Don Yarger will officiate.
