Curious about parking on Front Street

I’m just curious about the parking on Front Street if it was public parking, down here by the Depot on both sides or if the businesses can stop you from parking in front of their business unless you were a customer? I just notice one business has it’s area blocked off. It said reserved parking. I didn’t know if they could do that on the street or not. Thank you, have a good day.
