Peggy Parks
BLOOMFIELD, Mo. — Peggy Maxine Parks, 85, died Aug. 29, 2018, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Peters.
Born July 14, 1933, in Asherville, daughter of the late James Samuel and Frances Ruby Barter Parks, she had lived in St. Louis where she worked as a supervisor for the Grove Company Junior Sprotsware in Brentwood for 25 years. She moved to Wappapello in 1985 and Bloomfield in 2007. She attended the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield.
On Feb. 4, 1950, she married James Lester Parks. who preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1990.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Michael Shaw of O’Fallon; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary and Lisa Parks of Maplewood and Darrell Parks of Bloomfield; and nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Lester Parks; two grandsons; two brothers; and one sister.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Service in Dexter, where services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Steve Tippen of Bloomfield, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Rock Hill Cemetery near Puxico.
