Jack Miller
SIKESTON — Jack Arthur Miller, 88, died Sept. 7, 2018, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
Born May 23, 1930, in Evansville, Ind., son of the late Arthur and Mary Eliza Bridger Miller, he served in the United States Navy and attended Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston. He was a self-employed carpenter and owner of Jack Miller Carpet Installation.
On Dec. 28, 1957, he married Johnnie Katherine Jester, who preceded him in death in March 2007.
Survivors include: two sons, Terry Miller of Matthews and Anthony Miller of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Beverly Gibson Miller of Sikeston; and eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Melinda Georing Miller; one brother, Jay Miller; and two sisters, Margie Beegle and Jean Terrell.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors.
Pallbearers will be: Steven Miller, Michael Bollinger, Anthony Miller, Nathan Bollinger, Derek Dittlinger and Tommy Bridger.
