Peggy Schuerenberg
MATTHEWS, Mo. — Peggy Schuerenberg, age 81, passed away on Sept. 8, 2018, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Born April 4, 1937, in Matthews, daughter of the late Raymond and Lounell Riley Myrick, she was a member of the Matthews Missionary Baptist Church for many years.
On Dec. 4, 1954, in Matthews, she married Glen Schuerenberg, who preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 2017.
Survivors include: two sons and two daughters-in-law, Denzil and Pat Schuerenberg of Matthews and Sidney and Jana Schuerenberg of Matthews; two brothers, Coy Myrick of Las Vegas, Nev., and Arnold Myrick of Sikeston; one sister, Karen Rhoda of Smithton, Ill.; five grandchildren, Lynn Massey of Brisbane, Australia, Jason Schuerenberg of Matthews, Christine Schuerenberg of Matthews, Dale Colbert of Matthews, and Dustin Colbert of Lilbourn; three great-grandchildren, Wade Gadberry of Matthews, Tesla Gadberry of Sikeston and Connor Schuerenberg of Matthews; four great-great-grandchildren, Skylar and Samantha Arnold of Matthews and Aubrey and Gunner Gadberry of Matthews; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister Joyce Durbin.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with Lucas Polk, family minister at Trinity Baptist in Sikeston, officiating.
