SIKESTON — A Sikeston man faces felony charges for allegedly raping a juvenile.

Billy Tillman, 40, is charged through Scott County on three counts of first degree rape, three counts of statutory sodomy and three counts of statutory rape, according to Sgt. Jon Broom, public information officer for Sikeston Department of Public Safety.

At 9 a.m. Sunday officers with Sikeston DPS responded to a Sikeston home in reference to a sexual assault, Broom said. Upon arrival, they made contact with the reporting persons, and officers learned initially a juvenile had been sexually assaulted. Arrangements were made with their family to have the juvenile transported to the Southeast Missouri Network Against Sexual Violence in Cape Girardeau.

A forensic interview and exam was conducted and investigators learned of additional persons that had been perpetrated by the suspect who was identified as Tillman.

Bond was set at $150,000, and Tillman remained in jail as of Tuesday.

Anyone with any information regarding this case is encouraged to contact Sikeston DPS, Broom said.
