Joe Reed
SIKESTON — Joe Reed, 68, died Sept. 6, 2018, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. Born Feb. 20, 1950, in Cairo, Ill., son of the late John Reed and Mary McCoy Reed, he was employed as an over-the-road truck driver for many years. He retired from Ready Mix in Marston. He was a member of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Marston.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Curtis Reed; his sister, Hattie Mae Jones; and his daughter, Alicia Faye Reed.
Survivors include: five sons and one daughter-in-law, Brandon and Lacey Reed of Centralia, Ill., Brian Reed of Howardville, James Williams of Minneapolis, David Reed of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Bobby Joe Reed of Mount Vernon, Ill.; five daughters and two sons-in-law, Leslie Reed of Howardville, Tabitha and Jeffrey Lee of Sikeston, Shirlene Treadwell of Columbia, Sherry and Jerry Pettis of Cape Girardeau and Angela Sims of Jonesboro, Ark.; one sister, Selia Mae Chandler of Detroit; and 25 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at noon Saturday at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Howardville.
