Willie Ealy Jr.
MATTHEWS, Mo. — Willie Earl Ealy Jr., 72, died Sept. 7, 2018, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born April 27, 1946, in St. Louis, son of the late Willie Earl Ealy Sr. and the late Rachel Carter Ealy, he graduated from East High School in Howardville. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War from August 1964 until July 1968. He received a National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal during his tour of duty. He was employed as a police officer in St. Louis for many years, and he also served as Chief of Police in Kinloch and in Wellston.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one daughter, LaToya Brown; three brothers, Arthur Ealy, Terry Ealy and Kerry Ealy; and one sister, Sharon Tabron.
Survivors include: five sons, Kony Ealy of New Madrid, Jaron Ealy and Danny (Regina Wilson) Jones of St. Louis, Keenan Ealy of Sacramento, Calif., and Diamond Ealy of Hollywood, Calif.; five daughters, Cierra Jones of New Madrid, Raishonda (Roy) Jefferson-Lampton of Bowie, Md., Artondria Bentley, Kashina (Floyd) Bell and Quishia (Demetrius) Lesure of St. Louis; four brothers, Nathaniel Ealy of New Madrid, Allan Ealy of Florissant, Kenneth Ealy of St. Louis and Willie Ray Ealy of Forrest, Miss.; three sisters, Faye Doris Jones of Dellwood, Sonja Jones of Hazelwood and Faith Arnold of St. Louis; and 21 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, with full military honors.
