Wisconsin man killed in one-vehicle I-57 crash

CHARLESTON, Mo. — A Wisconsin man was killed in a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 57 Wednesday night.
The accident occurred at 8:57 p.m., eight miles north of Charleston, when a southbound vehicle driven by Ronald Leonard, 72, of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, ran off the roadway and overturned. Leonard, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead by Mississippi County Coroner Terry Parker at 9:30 p.m.
This is the 36th fatality for Troop E in 2018.
