SIKESTON — Bradley Duke “Brad” McDonald, age 52, passed away at his home in Sikeston on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018. 

He was born May 15, 1966, in Cape Girardeau, to Duke and Pat Griffin McDonald who survive of Sikeston.  He was a 1984 graduate of Sikeston High School. He attended the University of Missouri and Southeast Missouri State University, majoring in finance. He was a member of Crossroads of Hope Baptist Church in Sikeston.

Brad was manager at Sikeston Restaurant Equipment and also operated Taxi One. He excelled in sales and his passion was crunching numbers. He was very knowledgeable in commercial kitchen equipment. The only thing he loved more than singing and playing piano was spending time with his daughters. He loved people and never met a stranger. He could strike up conversation with anyone, anywhere, anytime. His understanding and compassion for other people were some of his greatest attributes.

Brad is survived by his parents; three daughters, Zoie Marie, Aspyn Duke and Londyn Bradley McDonald, all of the home; three sisters, Fara McDonald of Cape Girardeau, Brittany McDonald Holcombe (Josh) of Oxford, Miss. and Brooke McDonald Arnold of Paducah, Ky. He is also survived by one niece, Sloan Brooke Arnold of Paducah, Ky.; two nephews, Bray Duke Arnold of Paducah and Joshua Court Holcombe of Oxford; and numerous other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Louie and Thelma Beck McDonald of Matthews, and his maternal grandparents, Grady and Mae Whitaker Griffin of Matthews.

Visitation will be held at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

Funeral services will be held at Shelby Funeral Home on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Rick Ramsey will officiate.

Interment will follow in Dogwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Danny Griffin, Scott Griffin, Josh Holcombe, Brandon Arnold, Lee Byrus (Trey) Presson and Aaron Scott Griffin.
