SEMO Food Bank welcomes new board members
SIKESTON, Mo. — Danielle Poyner with Drury Southwest of Cape Girardeau, Mark Avery with Tyson Foods of Dexter and Marty Platz with Coast to Coast Signs of Scott City have joined the Board of Directors of Southeast Missouri Food Bank.
“These companies have long been supportive of SEMO Food Bank’s mission and we are delighted to welcome their representatives to our Board of Directors,” said Karen Green, Southeast Missouri Food Bank CEO. “With SEMO Food Bank distributing over 10 million pounds of food annually in 16 Southeast Missouri counties. Much expertise is needed so the food bank will be able to continue helping over 60,000 people monthly. Our desire is to continue to serve in the future as long as we are needed.”
Carlyle retires from Missouri State Highway Patrol
POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. — Harold “Steve” Carlyle, commercial vehicle inspector supervisor II, retired from the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Sept. 1 after 38 years and 8 months.
Carlyle, who started on Jan. 1, 1980, worked in the commercial vehicle division at the E-1 South Weigh Station located outside of Charleston.
