George Hubbard Sr.
SIKESTON — George N. Hubbard Sr., 91, died Sept. 14, 2018, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Nov. 13, 1926, in Clay County, Ark., son of the late Thomas and Clydia Flanigan Hubbard, he had been an auto mechanic and heating and air conditioning serviceman. He was of the Pentecostal belief and a former member of several bowling leagues.
On June 10, 1945, in Sikeston, he married Eufella Charlene Andrew, and she preceded him in death on Nov. 5, 1988.
Survivors include: one son, George N. Hubbard Jr. of Bell City; four daughters, Barbara and Billy Heuring, Betty Eastep, Wanda and Walter Hyde Sr. and Alice and Maxie Schreiber of Sikeston; one brother, Eddie Rickenbecker Hubbard of Newberg, Tenn.; two sisters, Lillian Jenkins of Sikeston and Shirley Noggle of Beebe, Ark.; and 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, one sister, one grandson and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel. His son-in-law, the Rev. Maxie Schreiber, and his grandson, Jason Schreiber, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: his grandsons, Jason Schrieiber, Joey Heuring, Greg Heuring, Darrell Heuring, Walter Hyde Jr. and Ryan Hubbard.
