Jessie Newson-Farr
NEW MADRID, Mo. — Jessie Lee “Fuzzy” Newson-Farr, 68, died Sept. 17, 2018, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Sept. 8, 1950, in Tate County, Miss., daughter of the late Jessie and Annie B. Woods Newson Sr., she graduated from Lilbourn High School in Lilbourn. She worked in the nursing field until retiring in 2011 form Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti and later worked at the New Madrid County Family Resource Center in New Madrid. She was a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Mother Board.
Survivors include: her children, Terunda Farr, Maurice Farr and Treneshia (Sean) Ivory; a special great-aunt, Mollie Rucker; and 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Madrid Baptist Church in New Madrid with the Rev. Darryl Minner officiating.
Burial will follow in the Simmons Park Cemetery at Catron with the Williams Funeral Home of Howardville in charge of arrangements.
