Sikeston DPS search warrant reveals large quantity of synthetic marijuana
SIKESTON — A Sikeston man faces charges after a search of his home by police yielded nearly 4 pounds of synthetic marijuana.
Anthony D. Mack, 40, of Sikeston is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, a class C felony; and a misdemeanor of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Sikeston Department of Public Safety Assistant Chief Jim McMillen.
On Monday Sikeston DPS Special Operations Group served a search warrant at 425 Daniel St. in Sikeston, where Sikeston DPS had information the occupant of the home — Mack — was possibly distributing illegal narcotics, McMillen said. After the search warrant was served, officers soon located a large quantity of synthetic marijuana, digital scales and packaging for sale on the premises, he said.
Over 3.5 pounds of synthetic marijuana was seized with the street value of these items estimated to be around $32,000.
DPS Officers arrested Mack at his home. He was given a bond of $50,000 cash or surety for the charges.
“Sikeston DPS is still working this case and seeking charges on another subject who is believed to be involved. His name is being withheld until charges are filed,” McMillen said.
